1. Sit tall in a sturdy chair with both feet flat on the floor.
2. Raise one arm overhead and elevate your shoulder blades.
3. Rest the opposite arm by your side or place your hand on your hip.
4. Lean gently to the opposite side without twisting or leaning forwards.
5. Keep both sitting bones connected to the chair and focus on gently lengthening through your side. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
6. Return slowly back to centre then repeat on the opposite side.
Exercise notes:
● Keep your lower hand resting lightly on the chair for support.
● Avoid collapsing forward through your chest.
● Reach through your fingertips to deepen the stretch.
