Choc Peanut Butter Overnight Oats

Start your day right with easy overnight oats – packed with fibre, protein, and fruit, they’re the perfect grab-and-go meal.

  • 1 medium banana, mashed
  • ½ cup rolled oats*
  • ½ cup reduced fat milk
  • ¼ cup reduced fat Greek yoghurt
  • ½ tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter with no added salt or sugar
  • ½ cup chopped strawberries or raspberries

 

*To make gluten free, replace oats with quinoa flakes.

  1. Add all ingredients except strawberries or raspberries to your jar or container.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Add chopped strawberries or raspberries as your toppings.
  4. Add the lid and place in the fridge overnight or for at least 30 minutes.

Serving Suggestion: Enjoy this breakfast all year round, simply heat it on colder days for a cosy start to your day.

For a creative twist, add in your favourite flavours, add a few eggs, and bake it in the oven to create a delicious oat slice.

Change the ingredients to try different flavour combinations, such as:

  • Apple pie: swap out the banana, cocoa powder and peanut butter for grated apple, apple sauce and cinnamon or a mixed spice.
  • Carrot cake: swap out the cocoa powder and peanut butter for grated carrot, crushed walnuts, cinnamon or mixed spice and sultanas.

Kids in the kitchen tips: Depending on your child’s age and skill, they can help measure ingredients, or choose their favourite fruit to top it off.
