Preheat the oven to a high temperature, between 200°C and 250°C.
If you have an oven-safe grill pan or skillet, place it in the oven while it preheats to ensure it gets hot. Be careful when handling the hot pan and use oven mitts to avoid burns.
Carefully place your food on the preheated pan and flip it halfway through the cooking time to ensure even grilling. Use long-handled tongs to flip the food and avoid reaching too far into the hot oven.
When your food has finished cooking, use an oven mitt to remove the pan from the oven, and place the hot pan on a heat proof surface. The pan will remain hot for some time, so ensure that you continue to use an oven mitt to prevent any burns.
