Workplace Health and Safety Queensland

Everyday Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) are working to make Queensland workplaces safer and healthier. WHSQ continues to shift its service delivery model from one primarily focused on compliance and enforcement to one with an equal focus on advisory and support services. This model is building industry commitment to, and expertise in, sustaining safe and healthy work environments.

WHSQ is responsible for improving workplace health and safety in Queensland and to reduce the risk of workers being killed or injured on the job.

WHSQ employs a range of health and safety experts that specialise in:

  • work health and safety laws
  • investigations in workplace fatalities
  • serious injuries
  • breaches of legislation
  • educating employees and employers on their legal obligations
  • asbestos and occupational hygiene and health risk management.

With a commitment to assisting small businesses, engaging industry and a workforce of technical health and safety specialists WHSQ continues to create a safety culture in Queensland workplaces to reduce severe workplace injuries.
