Help bring a cultural and family perspective to a new online health program for Queensland families

We’re seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents or carers of Queensland children aged 5-12 years to bring a cultural and family perspective to a new online health program. The program aims to support health promoting behaviours that prevent obesity and other chronic diseases. You have the option of joining our Steering Committee (which will provide leadership and direction to the project), or our Advisory Group (which will help shape content of the online program). This opportunity would suit parents/carers with an interest in child obesity prevention. Any questions, please contact Joanna Munro. We encourage you to share this with your networks.

Focus Groups—Insights needed to help prevent and manage childhood obesity

We want to hear from parents, carers and primary health care professionals interested in helping clinicians prevent and manage childhood obesity. Your participation in focus groups will inform this vital work. We would like to ask you what resources are needed, how they should look and feel, and where they should be to be hosted. If you are interested in participating, focus groups will be run via Zoom or in-person in Milton. Remuneration for your time is available for General Practitioners. Any questions, please contact Jacqueline Cotugno or Joanna Munro. We encourage you to share this with your clinical networks.
