Community Grants Open to Boost Health and Wellbeing in Communities Across Queensland

Applications are now open for the 2025 Health and Wellbeing Community Grants, with up to $400,000 in total funding available to support Queensland-based initiatives aimed at improving community health and wellbeing.
Grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 are available for community-led projects. Local councils, non-government organisations, community groups, schools and other eligible entities are encouraged to apply.
The grants are designed to support innovative, practical projects informed by evidence, community insight or local knowledge that focus on the areas of nutrition, physical activity, sleep, wellbeing, and/or health equity.
‘These grants aim to support bold ideas and practical solutions—especially in communities facing disadvantage or health barriers,’ said Dr Robyn Littlewood, Chief Executive of Health and Wellbeing Queensland.
‘We want to see initiatives that are community-led, evidence-informed, and truly reflect the needs and insights of local people.’
Through partnership, co-design and community leadership, these grants aim to help communities implement solutions that improve health outcomes, reduce obesity and address health inequities, giving Queenslanders the best chance to live a healthier life, no matter who they are or where they live.
Health and Wellbeing Queensland will be hosting free online information forums for those interested in applying.
Applications close on Tuesday, 29 July 2025.
