This marks an important milestone for Queensland, with Health and Wellbeing Queensland, the state’s dedicated prevention agency, set to play a key role in facilitating global collaboration and developing evidence-informed solutions for improving population health.

Dr Littlewood’s leadership reflects both her personal expertise in public health and the growing reputation of Health and Wellbeing Queensland on the world stage.

‘I’m incredibly honoured to represent Health and Wellbeing Queensland, my state and nation as incoming chair of the INHPF,’ Dr Littlewood said.

‘I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and energy to the role, and to helping continue the important work the INHPF is already leading in prevention and global health.’

Opportunity to share knowledge, drive innovation

INHPF brings together international health promotion agencies to share knowledge and drive innovation. Under Dr Littlewood’s leadership, the Network will bring a sharper focus to the Commercial Determinants of Health, exploring how industries such as tobacco, alcohol, and processed foods impact public health.

Other priority areas will include tobacco control, healthy food systems, physical activity, mental health, and evaluation practices.

With Dr Littlewood at the helm, Queensland has an important platform to influence global health outcomes and to share the insights and innovations already making a difference. This appointment represents not only a proud moment for Health and Wellbeing Queensland but a chance to shape healthier futures across the world.
