Health and Wellbeing Queensland is committed to empowering the current and future Queensland workforce – across a range of disciplines (health professionals and non-health professionals) – to address the challenges related to health and wellbeing across the lifespan.
Our University Student Engagement Program represents more than just a placement opportunity – it’s an investment in Queensland’s future and a testament to our commitment to developing skilled professionals who will drive innovation and excellence in health and wellbeing across the state. Our program provides meaningful learning opportunities that go beyond placements, offering real-world experience, mentoring and collaboration on projects that make a difference.
Since 2021, more than 100 students have joined us, where we have supported the learning and development of students with our University Partners across placements, guest lectures and guidance on projects. Together, we are investing in Queensland’s future workforce and supporting advancement in preventive health, community wellbeing and chronic disease prevention.
