Spiced mixed nuts
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 ½ tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 cups mixed unsalted nuts (e.g. cashews, almonds, hazelnuts walnuts)
METHOD:
- Pre-heat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced).
- Place the honey, olive oil and cinnamon in the bottom of a medium mixing bowl. Whisk together to combine.
- Pour in the mixed nuts one cup at a time and mix well to coat before adding the next cup. Pour the nuts onto a large baking tray and shake to form an even layer. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until nuts are toasted and fragrant.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving or storing in an airtight container.
RECIPE NOTES:
- These spiced nuts will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three weeks.
- Feel free to swap the honey for pure maple syrup or simply omit the sweetener if you would like to make these vegan-suitable.
