Spiced mixed nuts

Toasted with cinnamon and honey, these spiced nuts are great to toss through salads, wrapped up to gift or simply eaten on their own!

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 ½ tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups mixed unsalted nuts (e.g. cashews, almonds, hazelnuts walnuts)
METHOD:
  • Pre-heat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced).
  • Place the honey, olive oil and cinnamon in the bottom of a medium mixing bowl. Whisk together to combine.
  • Pour in the mixed nuts one cup at a time and mix well to coat before adding the next cup. Pour the nuts onto a large baking tray and shake to form an even layer. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until nuts are toasted and fragrant.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving or storing in an airtight container.
RECIPE NOTES:
  • These spiced nuts will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three weeks.
  • Feel free to swap the honey for pure maple syrup or simply omit the sweetener if you would like to make these vegan-suitable.
