As a statutory agency in Queensland, Health and Wellbeing Queensland is bound by the Information Privacy Act 2009 when managing personal information. We are also bound by the Health and Wellbeing Queensland Corporate Policy: Information Privacy (HWQ POL-012).

By joining the ConnectingQ Network, you are agreeing to the terms outlined in this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to this Privacy Statement, then do not join the ConnectingQ Network.

As part of your request to join the ConnectingQ Network, Health and Wellbeing Queensland will collect the following personal information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Name of organisation
  • Job/volunteer title
  • Industry/sector
  • Region
  • Whether you directly work with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
  • Whether you directly work with culturally or linguistically diverse people.

This information is collected to communicate relevant knowledge and events offered through the ConnectingQ platform with you. It will also be used for reporting, quality improvement and to evaluate network demographics, reach and effectiveness. Your information will only be used for this purpose. HWQld will not share your name or contact details with anyone without your consent.

The information is collected when you ‘Join the Network’ via marketing platform Vision6. The Vision6 privacy policy sets out the Vision6 commitment to protecting privacy.
