My health for life is a free, healthy lifestyle program funded by the State Government helping Queenslanders to live well and reduce their risk of chronic disease.
The six-month program takes a holistic approach to health and supports participants to set and achieve their personal health goals, whether it’s eating well, maintaining a healthy weight, sleeping better or managing stress.
The program is designed to support those vulnerable to developing a serious health condition, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke, and who may already have underlying health issues.
Since its public launch in 2017, more than 205,000 Queenslanders have undertaken program health checks – the key means for determining eligibility and to engage in a discussion around their risk of chronic disease – while almost 10,000 people have already completed the program. More than 15,000 Queenslanders have enrolled and despite the impact of COVID-19 on day-to-day life, enrolments are continuing. Many of our program participants are potentially vulnerable to Covid-19.
